The winner is!

What does a horse have to doing with announcing the winner of my first giveaway? She's my winning horse, and I got used to hearing her number being called way back in the 90's. That's my Arabian horse, "Savannah Sue", who collected a lot of buckles, trophies and (some) money--that went straight to paying my trainer and show cost fees, as a Western Reining Cowhorse . (Then, why is she wearing an English saddle?) It's a long story... I just wanted an excuse to post horse photos, on my food blog, that I took last Wednesday.

Savannah has attached herself to this "baby" miniature horse, who is 2 months old...how adorable is he?
He's so tiny, and so is his mom (who wouldn't stand still long enough for me to photograph).
I'm so excited! I used Random.org and entered all 13 names of folks who entered my Homemade Jam giveaway. Gee, thirteen names are pretty good odds to win something! I keep entering Pioneer Woman's contest, but she gets thousands of entries! So, the winner of my Jam Kit goes to "Frieda" from "Lovin' From the Oven".

I have to say, I love her blog! She photographs tutorials on how to bake bread-- and lots of wonderful goodies. If you have not visited her blog, please do. Frieda, please email me privately with your mailing address. Congratulations!

My second place winner is "Phoo-D". I'm also in-love with her blog! Her photos are amazing, and her recipes are lovely. I've made a few of them, which were delicious. "Phoo-D", You get 2 (two) 1/2 pint sizes of my homemade jam-- I think you picked olallieberry, but please email me with your mailing address and what flavors you want.

My third place winner is "Lick the Bowl Good". Monica! I love her! If you love baking, then go drool over her website. She's pretty darn gifted with a camera, too. Monica, you love strawberries...so you win 1 (one) 1/2 pint jam of your choice. Will it be strawberries? I need your address, too.

My email is: foodiewife@gmail.com.

Just to show that my winners were totally random, here's how the list came up, from all the comments on my giveaway posting. (Donna... I'm sorry, you missed it by one.)

You're all winners, in my book. Thanks for dropping by my blog. I'm listing your blog links, hoping that y'all will get to know one another.

The joy of having a food blog are the friend I make here.

Thanks for playing!

Debby, thank you so much! I can't wait to jump into canning jam....I've got blackberries and raspberries waiting in the freezer. I'm still curious about the olallaberries....maybe they should be called oo-la-la berries!

Hi Debby, Savannah Sue is so pretty. And the little mini is adorable....thanks for posting something interesting about your life. We foodie bloggers don't cook all day long (at least i don't think we do) and it's nice to get to know others more personally by their 'other' activites! Roz

As a horseman, as well, I think Savannah is a beauty! And her little companion is priceless.
