I am a snacker by heart....so many to choose from, but one that stands out is homemade kettle popcorn. So easy. So good. So addictive...

I don't know if you would count this as a snack, but I love to make pesto put over fresh pasta. Yummy. I also love to make real whip cream in the magic bullet. Awesome product! I am now a fan on Facebook.

I'm a big sweet snack addict..one of my favorites is instant cheesecake for one (okay so it might be enough for two but hey, who's counting). I take a few graham crackers and smash them up (this would be so much easier with a magic bullet!), mix them with a little melted butter and put them in the bottom of a small bowl (I just use a cereal bowl)set aside. In a seperate bowl combine a small container of greek yogurt, about 1/2 package of cream cheese, some sugar to taste, and a squeeze of lemon juice, mix until smooth ..again would be sooo much easier in a magic bullet ;) pour over graham cracker 'crust'. Whip up some fresh whipped cream and spread over top. Chill for as long as you are able to wait.(sorry, don't think magic bullet would help with the waiting part, although it would get the rest done faster!) :)

I just recently started following your blog, great recipes by the way! My favorite snack is guacamole and chips! My husband taught me how to make this, it sooo yummy!

2 Large avocados (ripend)
2 fresh serrano chiles
1 oz. mexican cotija cheese
2 key limes, squeezed
1/2 tsp. salt

I normally use a "molcajete" to make this, but you can use a small food processor to make this or better yet you can make this in the "Bullet"! If using the "bullet" place all ingredients in container and pulse until smooth. If using the traditional "molcajete", grind your chiles first then the cheese, then avocados. Mix in salt and lime juice. Serve with tortilla chips!

I have a pretty intense sweet tooth and I love oatmeal, so I like to snack on pumpkin oatmeal. Usually, I boil a cup of water, add in half a cup of oats, and let it cook for a little bit. Then, I stir in 1/2 a cup of pureed pumpkin and about a tablespoon of raisins. When it's done, I'll stir in some brown sugar, top with some combination of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Yummy :)

I have two favorite snacks:
1 package cream cheese
1 stick butter
2 tsp sweet paprika
pinch of kosher salt
1 Tablespoon fresh minced chives

Blend until combine. Serve on any kind of cracker or on crostinis.
My mom called it "Cherve'"

One more:
1 cup ricotta cheese
pinch of kosher salt & fresh cracked pepper
1 Tbsp honey
finely minced fresh herbs (I like rosemary)
Blend and serve over crostini or gourmet cracker

One more addicting snack (Magic Bullet would make it even better):
1 1/4 cups real mayonnaise
1/4 cup roasted garlic puree'
1 small fresh garlic, mashed (optional, because it can be intense)
2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 cup pitted Kalamata olives

Roast Garlic:
Preheat oven to 350F. Cut the top of a whole garlic head, drizzle with olive oil and wrap in foil. Roast for an hour; may be done ahead of time.

Puree the olives and fresh garlic (if using), roasted garlic, lemon juice and mayonnaise and puree until creamy-- or, puree the olives and fresh garlic in a food processor, then add the remaining ingredients; then blend with a whisk.

Serve as a dip or as a spread. Delish!

I love snacking and actually shouldn't but egg rolls are the best with sweet n sour sauce. The filling is the most important thing..oh along with the wrappers. But sometimes I make a Vietnamese roll using rice wrappers that you must dampen in order to roll them..once again the filling is important. For these I fill them with roast chicken, fresh bean sprouts, fresh cilantro and a drizzle of chili garlic sauce..roll tightly and eat..Yum!

Now that it's Spring and Summer is almost here, it's hard to resist all of the wonderful fresh fruit. I make up a container of all kinds, e.g., grapes, strawberries, cantaloupe, etc., and mix up a quick dip:
-- Sour cream
-- Brown sugar
-- Splash or so of vanilla to help dissolve the sugar and add flavor
Mix and put in container.

Hope you have a fantastic vacation! Thanks for the fun giveaway.

What a great giveaway! Here's one of my favorite dips to serve with chunks of bread or pita chips:

Garlic White Bean Dip
2 (15oz ea) cans cannellini beans
1 garlic clove, minced
1 lemon, juiced
1/2 cup plus 3T olive oil
1 roasted red pepper, diced
1T parsley, chopped
1T basil, chopped
salt & pepper

1) Drain & rinse beans; set aside 1/2 cup of beans for garnish. Puree remaining beans in a food processor with the garlic, lemon juice and salt & pepper to taste. With the motor running, slowly drizzle in 1/2 cup olive oil, then transfer to a dip bowl. Toss reserved beans with red pepper, 3T olive oil, parsle and basil, and additional salt & pepper to taste. Spoon over the dip and serve.
